Duties and Responsibilites

  1. Patrol facility or man post as instructed and serve as a security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; detects suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to property, client or employees at th site.
  2. Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies.
  3. Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats, and alarms, such as fire and intrusion by following emergency response procedures.
  4. Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
  5. Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  6. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  7. Controls access to clients site or facility through the admittance process.
  8. Patrols assigned site on fort or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  9. Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
  10. Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  11. Prepares logs and reports as required.

Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

  1. Must be 18 years old or older.
  2. Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 10 years of verifiable employment history.
  3. No Criminal convictions as specified under company guidelines.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  5. Authorized to work in the United States.
  6. Ability to perform essential functions fo the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  7. No negative result on pre-employment drug screen.
  8. Successful completion of company security officer course exam.
  9. Ability to maintain satisfactory  attendance and punctually standard.
  10. Neat and professional on appearance.
